O Happy Day! Lucky 13, Serendipity, and Why I Volunteer

Yesterday, January 13, I wrote a post about a Shelter dog that I have had the honor to walk several times and of whom I am very fond. (Actually I love them all.)

Today I discovered that she was adopted yesterday!!!

Was this the luck of the day? Was it because the universe ‘got’ that energy that I was pushing into my post of my concern for this dog? Pure coincidence? Do I really need a reason to be doing the happy dance?

THIS is why I keep volunteering to walk Shelter dogs. I am so happy for her that there are tears streaming down my face and I can’t stop laughing and smiling. I’ll have to trust my typing abilities because I can’t see clearly enough to proof read and I just want to tell everyone this happy news.

Yes, I will miss her. And there will be another sweet soul needing someone to take him/her for a walk. And I will be there to to cheer that pup on to their forever home.

The Dog Rules

Once the proud guardian of a rather cheeky Border Collie/Aussie Cattle Dog mix, may she forever rest in peace, my favourite activities were those things that included my canine friend. Now I have a new canine buddy in my life. He's also a Border Collie and sassy like my girl was. We're in the middle of an adventure; teaching him how to be a good canine citizen I spend my spare time volunteering at the local animal shelter as a dog walker/trainer.
